When Your Skin Is Acne Prone...

Acne prone skin is basically good skin that is out of balance, and it can effect individuals of all ages. Acne prone skin is affected by sebaceous oil glands that become overactive from internal factors such as the hormonal changes commonly signaling Pre-menstrual Syndrome, stress, diet, or environment factors including pollution or sun exposure.

These factors cause the sebaceous glands to secrete too much oil which creates shine, attracts dirt and provides an ideal environment for bacteria to thrive in. This results in sudden breakouts, bumps under the skin, and enlarged pores.

Symptoms:
  • Your skin takes on a shiny appearance.
  • You may have many undefined bumps beneath your skin.
  • Your pores are clearly visible.
  • You often have sudden breakouts for no obvious reason.
  • Your face often feels unclean and greasy.
  • Your skin is never totally clear.
